My Christmas Cactus

I got this Christmas Cactus from a friend a few months ago. I am so happy that it is thriving! I usually don't take care of plants to well and I am totally amazed at how good this one is doing. I love flowers and plants but either over water them or don't water them enough. It is usually to late before I realize that they are on the edge. This one is doing awesome!

Something I really want to do....

I have always wanted to experience the thrill and adrenaline rush from doing something like the zip lines! My heart races just thinking about it! One day, I will do it!

Next to the River

This is another favorite walking place I enjoy going to. It is right next to the river and has some awesome views. It's a nice to place to go on a pretty day seeking some peace and quiet. I like to call it my "thinking place".

I really enjoy seeing the sun beginning to set!

Brickmill Road

This is a really cool place tucked away in Canton on Brickmill Road. I am not sure how many people even know it exists. I have been here a few times and it has been a while since I visited so, today I decided it was a time to stop and visit this place.

I love it when the sun is about to sit and couldn't resist taking this right before leaving. Had an awesome time!

Who says there are no big fish in Lake Allatoona? Awesome catch Andrew! Maybe next time we go fishing, I'll be the one reeling the big fish in! Just glad you catch and release so someone else will have to opportunity to catch him and hopefully they will release him too :)

My new boots!

These are my new boots! I am so glad I had help picking them out. I have always wanted a pair of boots but never really knew which ones to get. Now I don't have to worry about that any more. I just need to learn how to walk in them without falling down. And how to get off a bike without falling down! LOL! I love them!

The Mad Hatter!

I went to The Place with with my best friend last night. I didn't realize that they were having a Halloween costume contest. I saw the Mad Hatter there and totally fell in love with the costume. It was so creative and not all commercially made up. And the Mad Hatter won 1st place which included $1000.00. Come to find out, I knew this guy! It truly is a small world.

Least Changed Superlative!

I was nominated as one of the least changed superlatives at my 30th year high school reunion! It was a memorable experience that I will never forget. I enjoyed seeing everyone and so glad I went. There were several people that I used to pass in the hallways at school but never talked to them. It was really nice to finally "meet" and get to know some of them. It still amazes me of how things always end up working out!

The Fog

I was on my way to work and as I went around a curve in the road, I saw a glimpse of the fog on the lake. I had to stop and take a picture of it. I have never seen the lake with the fog hovering above the water. The sun was coming up and it was so bright yet it was darkened by the hazy fog. It was a beautiful site!

This is a photo of my friends newly decorated room! He wanted to put his Harley in there too but couldn't get it up the stairs. I think it's unique, creative and pretty awesome. There's just one thing in this pic I don't really care for. I know he knows what it is. Just wondering if the plant hanging in the corner is fake or real??? If it's fake, it needs to go. If it's real, try not to kill it like I probably would! It defiantly reflects his personality. He is such a nut!

Rigorism

I went to Jeremy's "gig" last night at The Local. All the benefits went to The Atlanta Cancer Care Foundation. Several bands played but, of course, I enjoyed his band the most. Actually it was the only one I watched! I have seen a guitar in his hands since he was a "little" guy and it amazes me how he has excelled over the years. I am very proud of him! Enjoyed my company that night as well. Both of my boys, Joanna and Chris :)

This is Strange...

I went to Memphis, TN a while back and saw this dude in a kilt and boots with some interesting tattoos on the back of his calves. I thought the visual was really unique and wanted to get a better picture than the one above. So, I asked him if I could take a picture of his tattoos and he said yes! 

But, he really wanted me to see his favorite tattoo which he said was Braveheart. He lifted his kilt and sure enough... it was Braveheart! I thought it was a little strange...

Awesome Site!

This is probably one of the most amazing things I have seen on the interstate! As I was leaving work one day, I saw this and had to catch up to take a picture! I really don't like boats too much but this one just blew my mind away! The semi that was hauling it looked pretty sweet too. I was lucky enough to get close enough to take the picture. This thing was flying down the interstate and blew my doors off! I can only imagine what it can do in the water.  Awesome!

30 Years Later!

I went to Hemingway's on the Marietta Square last night to meet up with some old classmates. It's been 30 years since I have seen most of these people and wished I had a year book so I could look them up. I do remember a few of them, but some, I had no clue who they were! It was nice to see them and meet new people too. I enjoyed going :)

It was pouring down rain this morning! I opened the backyard gate, looked down and saw this little guy. He had his head up to the fence and couldn't go any further. He also was hiding in his shell. Kind of reminded me of someone I know! I thought about picking him up and moving him but, I was afraid too. I have never picked up a turtle before. Anyway, when I got home from work today, he was gone and no where to be found.

This is Awesome!

I know it is difficult to tell what this is, so I will have to explain! This is a picture of a baby jellyfish floating in water in the center of a plastic cup. The picture was with my cell phone and taken from the top view of the cup. Anyway, I have heard that jellyfish DO live in Lake Allatoona, but found it hard to believe. This baby jellyfish was taken out of Lake Allatoona this morning by Josh. I made Josh promise he would not let it die and put it back in the water. Now, I do believe jellyfish live in the Lake... the proof is in the cup!

Don't Ask Why...

Sometimes things don't work out the way they are expected to. That's when I have to have faith and realize that things do happen a particular way for a reason. I may not always understand why but, I do know that in the end, it always works out for the best. And that is the way it is supposed to be. Today is one of those days. Tomorrow I will be blessed with a new day and a new beginning :)

My Most Treasured Item

I am not a materialistic person and don't perceive items as treasures. It took me a while to figure out what I would call my most treasured item. As I grabbed my journal one evening getting ready to write in it, I realized at that moment, that my journal is my most treasured item. I wouldn't want anyone else to touch or see it.

My Rainbow

I love it when I can find a rainbow! This is a double rainbow that I saw after a really bad thunderstorm. I just wish the picture showed the colors as beautiful as they were in person.
