It was pouring down rain this morning! I opened the backyard gate, looked down and saw this little guy. He had his head up to the fence and couldn't go any further. He also was hiding in his shell. Kind of reminded me of someone I know! I thought about picking him up and moving him but, I was afraid too. I have never picked up a turtle before. Anyway, when I got home from work today, he was gone and no where to be found.

This is Awesome!

I know it is difficult to tell what this is, so I will have to explain! This is a picture of a baby jellyfish floating in water in the center of a plastic cup. The picture was with my cell phone and taken from the top view of the cup. Anyway, I have heard that jellyfish DO live in Lake Allatoona, but found it hard to believe. This baby jellyfish was taken out of Lake Allatoona this morning by Josh. I made Josh promise he would not let it die and put it back in the water. Now, I do believe jellyfish live in the Lake... the proof is in the cup!

Don't Ask Why...

Sometimes things don't work out the way they are expected to. That's when I have to have faith and realize that things do happen a particular way for a reason. I may not always understand why but, I do know that in the end, it always works out for the best. And that is the way it is supposed to be. Today is one of those days. Tomorrow I will be blessed with a new day and a new beginning :)

My Most Treasured Item

I am not a materialistic person and don't perceive items as treasures. It took me a while to figure out what I would call my most treasured item. As I grabbed my journal one evening getting ready to write in it, I realized at that moment, that my journal is my most treasured item. I wouldn't want anyone else to touch or see it.

My Rainbow

I love it when I can find a rainbow! This is a double rainbow that I saw after a really bad thunderstorm. I just wish the picture showed the colors as beautiful as they were in person.

My Labor Day Weekend!

A friend invited me to stay the night on a houseboat at Lake Lanier Islands on Labor Day weekend. I have never stayed on a boat before and didn't want to miss the opportunity to try something new. One more thing to check off on my "bucket list"! I usually don't like to be in big crowds and around a lot of people I don't know, but decided I should go and venture out of shell. I am glad I did because I did meet some new people and had a good time. Enjoyed good food, drinks and the company was awesome. Can't say I have ever seen a tequila bottle like the one in the tiki hut!
